The government's proposed new legislation on planning is a Developers Charter. They are pushing for unfettered development that will not provide the homes people need and will push us further towards climate catastrophe.

Join us outside the HQ of Delancey to launch our alternative Peoples Housing Charter.

This charter outlines the immediate steps the government could take to provide more affordable housing while also reducing carbon emissions from construction and buildings.

Delancey symbolises everything that's wrong with the current set up. Take the example of Lord Lister, a paid advisor to Delancey, who signed off huge government loans to Delancey for luxury private apartments when he was chair of Homes England (which is supposed to hand out public money for affordable housing).

He was also an advisor to Johnson when he was mayor of London - selling them the Olympic village at a knock down price and approving Delancey's demolition of the elephant and castle shopping centre.

Lister then went on to work directly as an advisor to the government when they were drawing up the new legislation on planning.

Delancey has donated £335,000 to the Tories in the last ten years and it's clear they do not give away this money for nothing.

The corrupt links between big developers and politicians is undermining democracy and blocking the urgent action we need on the climate emergency and housing.

Let's build a movement to fight for a new agenda where meeting people's basic need for housing and protecting our environment comes before profit and greed.
